Jacob Blogs for Me Today

I'm letting my grandson blog today. He is in Alaska with his youth group. His dad, our son, is there as well. It sounds like it is a joy to be there.

So I’m sitting here completely covered in green paint. Well, completely covered is a bit of an overstatement but you know what I mean. Our group just got back from painting a house and needless to say I got a little painted myself. But it was still fun. The man we are working for is really nice and is very appreciative of the stuff we’re doing, which is always a good feeling.
Alaska is such an awesome place! The mountains and glaciers are all unbelievably beautiful. This is our third full day here, but it seems like one long day because it never gets dark here (which makes it nearly impossible to judge time). It is a great place to enjoy God’s awesome creation.
I’m having a great time with all the people here. We play a lot of games and just basically hang out. Our camp leaders here are also fun. We’ve been doing quiet times every morning which is a great opportunity to sit, read the Bible, and basically just reflect on God. And the work we’ve been doing has really been making progress.
So anyway, that’s pretty much the story. I miss everyone back home, especially my family. I hope everyone is doing okay! I’ll see all of you hopefully in a little over a week!

God bless;
Jake
